Property for rent in Tenerife
Renting a property in Tenerife is very simple. You can either sign
a Short Term (weekly) contract
or a Long Term (+3 months) re-newable
contract. You will be required to put down one months rent in advance
plus one months rent as a damage deposit. This damage deposit is held
by the agent to guarantee that if any damage occurs during your rental
period it can be covered immediately.
On entering the agreement you will be asked to check the property
inventory and the actual condition of the property. If any thing is
missing or damaged you must notify the agents immediately so that when
the contract expires you do not get held responsible for other peoples
damage.
Although you have a contract for either 3 or 6 months it is still required
that you give a months notice before you are due to move out, this helps
with the re-renting of the property allowing the agents to advertise
the property as “soon available”.
If you wish to extend your contract you must notify the agents 1 month
before your contract is due to finish and an extension can be easily
arranged permitting the owner agrees.
